A.      Background

  1. On April 23, 2007, the Commissioner of Labor and Industry adopted federal standards relating to occupational exposure to hexavalent chromium. The amendment included the automatic incorporation by reference of future amendments to this standard. The Federal Occupational safety and Health Administration proposed new requirements on this matter in 71 FR 38085 - 38087 (July 5, 2006), which, without further action by MOSH would automatically be incorporated by reference in COMAR 09.21.31.

B.       Action

  1. MOSH Compliance and Consultation Supervisors shall ensure that training sessions are conducted on the contents of this notice.
