Subject: Clarifications and Correcting Amendments to OSHA's Final Rule on Electrical Installation Requirements.

Purpose: Amend 29 CFR 1910.304(b)(3)(ii) to clarify its applicability to "construction-like" activities and corrects two typographical errors in Table S-3.

A.      Background

  1. On August 21, 2007, the Commissioner of Labor and Industry adopted, through incorporation by reference under COMAR 09.12.31 Maryland Occupational Safety and Health Act - Incorporated by Reference of Federal Standards, the revisions relating to the general industry electrical installation standard and to incorporate future versions of the standard.

B.       Action

  1. MOSH compliance personnel shall enforce the amendment to 29 CFR 1910.304(b)(3)(ii) published in the Federal register / Vol. 73, No. 210 / Wednesday, October 29, 2008 (FR 64203-64205) (PDF document, 63KB, download Adobe Acrobat for free).
     
  2. MOSH Compliance and Consultation Supervisors shall ensure that training sessions are conducted on the contents of this notice.
