Notice of Proposed Action
The Maryland Racing Commission proposes to amend Regulation .07 under
COMAR 09.10.01 Thoroughbred Rules. This action was considered by the Maryland Racing Commission at a public meeting held on June 17, 2014,
notice of which was given by publication in 41:11 Md. R. 643 (May 30, 2014), pursuant to State Government Article, §10-506(c), Annotated Code of
Statement of Purpose
The purpose of this action is to allow a successful claimant of a horse the option to void the claim for a period of one hour after the race is
made official if the horse is ordered to be vanned off of the track by the State Veterinarian after the race.

There is no corresponding federal standard to this proposed action.
