Historical Living Wage Rates - Living Wage for State Service Contracts

Effective - September 29, 2024
Tier 1 : $16.63 except for Montgomery County. Effective July 1, 2024, large employers (those with 41 or more employees) must pay the County minimum wage of $17.15 per hour.
Tier 2 : $15.00 per hour (the State minimum wage)

Tier 1 : $16.13
Tier 2 : $12.11 NOTE: Due to increases in the Maryland minimum wage rate that exceed the Living Wage rate, offerors, contractors and subcontractors in Tier 2 should be aware of the current Maryland minimum wage rates and planned increases to that rate in the future. State law requires that contractors and subcontractors pay each covered employee at least the higher of the State minimum wage or the minimum Living Wage rate established for the applicable Tier area.

Effective September 28, 2022
Tier 1 : $15.13
Tier 2 : $11.36 - NOTE: Due to increases in the Maryland minimum wage rate that exceed the Living Wage rate, offerors, contractors and subcontractors in Tier 2 should be aware of the current Maryland minimum wage rates and planned increases to that rate in the future.
