License by Reciprocity - Examiners of Landscape Architects
The Board will grant a license to an applicant who is licensed to practice landscape architecture in another state, if at the time the applicant was licensed in the other state, the applicant was required to pass an examination and possessed qualifications that were substantially equivalent to the examination and qualifications in Maryland.
In Maryland there are two avenues to gain licensing through reciprocity, WITH A CLARB Council Record and WITHOUT A CLARB COUNCIL RECORD.
WITH A CLARB COUNCIL RECORD:
Individuals with a CLARB Record, who hold a license in another state, follow the following steps:
- Apply online through the Maryland State Board of Landscape Architects
- Transmit CLARB Council Record to the MD Board
- Pay Application Fee
WITHOUT A CLARB COUNCIL RECORD:
Individuals without a CLARB Record, who hold a license in another state, follow the following steps:
- Apply online through the Maryland State Board of Landscape Architects
- Maryland State Application for Reciprocity
- Pay Application Fee
- Submit a paper application (Word) that includes:
- Licensure and examination verification
- Report of Professional Experience form(s)
