The Commissioner will hold a public hearing to provide stakeholders with an opportunity to share their views and present information concerning the prevailing rates applicable to projects covered under Public Utilities Article Section 5-305, including the following:

1. Whether the establishment of any new classification(s) is warranted. (Please see FAQs 22 and 23 on our website for the kinds of information that may be helpful in making this determination)

2. Is the craft crosswalk developed by the unit to match common utility industry job titles to existing prevailing wage classifications inaccurate or incomplete? (Please navigate to "Related Data" on the linked portal menu to get to the crosswalk, and to a current active classifications list)

3. Should a separate "utility" category of work be established, separate from the heavy/highway category that currently applies to utility projects?
