NEW law related to firm mobility - Public Accountancy
Effective October 1, 2019, as a result of House Bill 1081 and Senate Bill 513, CPA firms that are licensed in another state will not have to hold a firm permit in Maryland as long as the firm meets the application and peer review requirements and performs the services through an individual with practice privilege. This change only affects CPA firms that do not have an office in the state of Maryland. For more information, please visit: Md. Code Ann., Bus. Occ. And Prof. §2–401.
