Pathways for Individual Licensure - Public Accountancy

There are four paths you can take to obtain a CPA license in Maryland:

• Pass the CPA Examination as a Maryland candidate.
• Transfer your passing scores of the CPA examination from another state board of accountancy.
• File a reciprocal application based on CPA licensure in another state.
• Pass the International Qualification Examination (IQEX) as an accounting professional from Australia, Canada, Ireland, Mexico or New Zealand.
