Call to Order

Chairman, Michael Huneke, called the June 16, 2026, meeting of the Maryland Board of Foresters to order at 10:07 a.m. after confirming that a quorum of members was present.

*This was a specially-scheduled meeting for the sole purpose of consideration to consider proposed action to amend COMAR 09.29.01.02, following the passage of HB

Following a lengthy discussion, the Board agreed to postpone proposing action. The Board asked Counsel to modify the regulation text to reflect the educational requirements outlined in the legislation that will take effect on October 1, 2026. The Board will consider voting to propose action once the language is agreed upon by the Board, at which time, it will be re-submitted to the Office of the Secretary for approval.

Upon a motion by Mr. Perdue and a second by Ms. Rhyne-Grey, the Board voted to table the discussion until Counsel modifies the regulation language and the Board approves the regulatory proposal.

Adjournment

There being no further business, upon a motion by Ms. Rhyne-Grey and seconded by Mr. DiPaolo, the Board unanimously voted to adjourn the meeting at 10:31 a.m.
