MD Labor Americans with Disabilities Act Policy - Office of Fair Practices
In accordance with Executive Order 01.01.2007.16, the Code of Fair Employment Practices, the Maryland Department of Labor is dedicated to a strong policy prohibiting discrimination on the basis of age, ancestry, color, creed, gender identity and expression, genetic information, marital status, mental or physical disability, national origin, race, religious affiliation, belief or opinion, sex, or sexual orientation. Any employee who believes that they have been subjected to discrimination should report the incident to the agency’s Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) or Fair Practices Officer, their immediate supervisor, or other appropriate managerial representative. Yvette Dickens is the Director of the Maryland Department of Labor’s Office of Fair Practices which is responsible for ensuring equal opportunity.
