Cyber and AI Clinics - Cyber Maryland

Preparing Marylanders for in-demand careers while strengthening cybersecurity for communities across the state

Through a $1.5 million investment from the Maryland Department of Labor’s Cyber Maryland program, three Cyber and AI Clinics are preparing Marylanders for in-demand careers in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence while delivering real-world services that strengthen digital protections for schools, hospitals, nonprofits, small businesses, and other community institutions.

The Cyber and AI Clinics provide low- or no-cost cybersecurity services to organizations that may otherwise lack access to critical cyber support. At the same time, the clinics will give current and prospective cyber professionals supervised, hands-on experience that reflects real employer needs.

Across the grant period, the three clinics are expected to provide over 600 Marylanders with hands-on training in cybersecurity, preparing them for the workforce.

Program Goals

The Cyber and AI Clinics are designed to:

  • Expand Maryland’s cyber and AI talent pipeline
  • Provide hands-on training and real-world experience
  • Help employers access skilled cyber talent
  • Strengthen cybersecurity for community-serving organizations
  • Support schools, hospitals, nonprofits, small businesses, and other institutions
  • Advance Maryland’s position as a national leader in cyber workforce development
