Update on the Economic Stabilization Act:
The Economic Stabilization Act was enacted under Article II, § 17(c) of the Maryland Constitution on May 30, 2021 and the Department of Labor is actively working to develop regulations that facilitate implementation. The draft regulations have been posted for public comment here. Comments may be sent to Dylan McDonough, Policy Analyst, Maryland Department of Labor, 1100 N Eutaw Street, Baltimore, MD 21201, or call 410-767-1890, or e-mail to dylan.mcdonough@maryland.gov. Comments will be accepted through January 16, 2024. A public hearing has not been scheduled.
