March 23, 2020: Governor Larry Hogan orders all non-essential businesses in Maryland to close by 5 p.m. today. The press conference can be seen on the governor’s Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube pages.

The Governor's Office of Legal Counsel has released additional guidance on businesses that are considered essential services and may remain open. The list is considered non-exhaustive and subject to change.

Federal guidelines on critical infrastructure sectors can be found on the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s CISA website.

March 20, 2020: PSI Examination Services has closed all PSI-owned and operated test centers due to COVID-19. Please see PSI’s notification message to exam candidates including directions on rescheduling exams and updated closure information.

March 17, 2020: Prometric will close test centers in the United States and Canada for a period of 30 days.

March 16, 2020: The Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing’s offices close to the public. All units are monitoring e-mails and phone calls from their home offices. E-mail correspondence is preferable to phone calls at this time. If you cannot find the e-mail address that pertains to your particular license, please e-mail dlopl-labor@maryland.gov, and your e-mail will be routed to the appropriate person.

March 12, 2020: Governor Larry Hogan issues an Executive Order extending all license expiration dates until May 1, 2020.
